SPORTS INJURY

POST OP

Soccer? Footy? Netball? Swimming? We treat athletes of all ages and sporting background. Our Physiotherapists aim to help the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. They can help return you to your best level of function after an injury. We can help with general maintenance during the season, injuries on the field ranging from minor to complex and pain management. Our physiotherapists use a range of methods to help sports related injuries like hands on treatment, kinesiology taping and return to sport rehabilitation programs.

Unfortunately, the success of your surgery doesn’t finish the moment you leave the operating theatre. Your surgeon will skillfully perform a surgical procedure that is the initial step towards your successful outcome. However, you’ll have to do rehabilitation exercises with aid from your physiotherapist to optimize your return to former ability, regain strength and movement. We work alongside many surgeons, allowing us to keep in touch with current surgical techniques and procedures to ensure your optimal recovery. We design with you a specific and individual rehabilitation program to ensure you make the best possible recovery in the quickest time.

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling involves the insertion of a needle into the skin and muscle

directly at a myofascial trigger point. Dry needling of a myofascial
trigger point will elicit a local twitch response which in turn triggers
a reaction that results in an analgesic effect. Dry needling benefits:

*Pain relief.
*Increased circulation of blood.
*Increased range of motion.
*Increased strength and functionality of the muscle.
*Return of proper biomechanics.
